Will a Qipix stand interefere with the operation of my metal detector?
When properly installed (so there is no movement between the control box and the stand) the likelihood of intereference is minimal. There have been no reports received of such interference and the stand may have an effect of an electrical shielding for the control box, which may make its operation more stable.
Will a Qipix stand make my metal detector heavier?
The short answer is "Yes." - but the increase in weight is about 100 grams i.e. 0.1Kg (for the W120 stand), which in practical terms is not noticeable by the operator.
How strong is a Qipix stand?
Each Qipix stand is designed to support the weight of a metal detector for which it is intended to be used. Dropping a metal detector onto a stand might damage a stand, but dropping the metal detector is more likely to damage the metal detector itself.
How long will it take to fit a Qipix stand to my metal detector?
Usually about 5 minutes is all that is required to install a Qipix stand to the metal detector for which it is intended to be used. There are exceptions, however, installation instructions are supplied with each Qipix stand and it is usually unnecessary to remove the coil (or power) lead from the metal detector.
